 Director of Human Resources / People & Culture

 We are seeking an accomplished and thoughtful Director of Human Resources / People & Culture to join our leadership team. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to the General Manager/COO, Department Heads, and Board of Directors, providing vision and direction for all aspects of the Club’s people operations.
 With approximately 400 team members, the Director will oversee the full scope of Human Resources functions—including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and professional development—while advancing a culture of excellence, respect, and belonging consistent with the Club’s long-standing values.
  Key Responsibilities:
 -Provide strategic leadership and direction for all human resources functions, including employee engagement, recruitment, retention, training, and development.
-Partner with the GM/COO and department leaders to align HR initiatives with the Club’s mission and operational goals.
-Foster a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and hospitality across all departments.
-Oversee employee relations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to Club policies and employment laws.
-Manage recruitment and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent who embody the Club’s values and service standards.
-Direct benefits administration, compensation planning, and compliance with all federal and state employment regulations.
-Develop and maintain effective communication and recognition programs that strengthen employee engagement and satisfaction.
-Lead the performance review process, providing guidance and support to managers in coaching and staff development.
-Champion initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect throughout the organization.
-Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.
-Oversee HRIS, personnel records, and accurate reporting of all HR data and metrics.

Requirements
Qualifications
 -Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or HR certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) preferred.
-Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within hospitality, private club, or service-oriented environments.
-Deep knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and employee relations.
-Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
-Proven ability to influence, build trust, and collaborate across diverse teams.
-Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
-Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and professional integrity.
-Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are highly valued and considered a plus.
-Familiarity with Paylocity HRIS is highly valued and considered a plus.
