Are you interested in working with a fun team and for one of the best public radio stations in the country? Please apply for WUNC’s Listener Services Associate. Listeners make everything WUNC does possible, and we need someone who loves customer service. You’ll work directly with listeners, the Development staff, and the rest of WUNC’s award-winning team. If you listen to WUNC, you’ll love meeting the reporters, journalists, and hosts who make it all happen. WUNC seeks a candidate who is detailed oriented, great at customer service via email and phone, has a solid background in Windows and Excel, and is good at managing multiple tasks. Using multiple platforms of donor software is required of the job. A WUNC listener is preferred.
WUNC is one of the more well-resourced public radio stations in the country. It is headquartered in the Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill) of North Carolina. The Triangle is often rated among the top areas to live in the country. The ocean and mountains are just a few hours away.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Being an attentive listener is highly preferred as this position must be knowledgeable about WUNC’s on-air programming and be able to respond to donor inquiries and questions regarding historical and current broadcasts.
- Possess the ability to maintain awareness and control while expressing emotions appropriately, maturely and thoughtfully during verbal and written interactions with donors, listeners, guests, on-site visitors, vendors and staff.
- Possess knowledge in the areas of nonprofit fundraising, gift processing, data management with individual and mass record updates and building and running queries and reports.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), search engines, and social media platforms
- Possess the ability to function independently with minimum or no direct supervision in performing tasks.
The salary range for this position is $48,000 - $55,900.
