Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist
- Perform CT scans on trauma, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and research patients
- Assist in specialized CT scan-guided procedures
- Ensure radiation safety measures are practiced and enforced according to New York State Department of Health regulations
- Support clinical evaluation and care within an academic medical setting
Requirements of the CT Technologist
- Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
- New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
- Entry-level experience with appropriate skills and knowledge
