Position: SUNY Reconnect Ambassador/Enrollment Navigator (part-time/grant funded)

Up to 20 hours a week

Position Summary:

The SUNY Reconnect Ambassador/Enrollment Navigator will play a key role in supporting adult learners eligible for the SUNY Reconnect Initiative. This part-time hourly position will assist with targeted outreach, enrollment navigation, application support, and student engagement during non-traditional hours (evenings and weekends). The role is ideal for individuals passionate about increasing access to education for returning and adult students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct proactive outreach to adult learners, including stop-outs and prospective students, via phone, text, and email.
• Assist students with the application, FAFSA/TAP completion, and registration processes through virtual and in-person appointments.
• Participate in evening and weekend enrollment events, advising sessions, and virtual drop-in hours.
• Serve as a liaison to student support offices (e.g., admissions, advising, financial aid) to ensure wraparound support and referrals throughout their academic journey.
• Assist in tracking enrollment and participation metrics in alignment with SUNY reporting requirements, maintain accurate contact records and follow-up notes in CRM systems.
• Collaborate with community and workforce partners to support referral pipelines and awareness of short-term credential and degree programs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with adult learners, non-traditional students, or student services
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Comfort with technology, including virtual meeting platforms and CRM systems
• Availability for evening and weekend hours
• Hybrid in-person and remote work environment with evening/weekend availability required
• 2-5 weeknight evenings in-person from 5p-8p & up to 5 hours remote on Sat or Sun, at least 1x/month

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Starting Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 hour
