PENN STATE RESEARCH TRAINING IN ONCOLOGY AND MEDICINE TO INSPIRE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT(PROMISE)
PROMISE is a holistic summer internship program to inspire the next generation of cancer researchers and oncologists. Funded by the National Cancer Institute, PROMISE will provide authentic, team research experiences in cancer prevention and treatment. It is a ten-week summer program with financial support and affordable, on-campus housing available.
PROMISE is an immersive research program for college undergraduates and medical students that provides training in critical professional and personal skills needed for durable research careers. Engage with cancer stakeholders (community, survivors, patients) to realize why we do research: to positively impact the lives of individuals. Work with Faculty mentors with active National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded research groups that provide mentorship and training.

Requirements
Open to college undergraduates who have completed at least 2 years of college.
Students from all STEM majors, including engineering, computer sciences and statistics, as well as biomedical sciences, are encouraged to apply.
