Description
- Michigan Medicine seeks applicants for two clinical educator track faculty positions, at the assistant, associate, or full professor level.
- Applicants must be B.C. or B.E. in sleep medicine.
- The successful candidates will focus on provision of high quality clinical care and education within a well-developed academic sleep medicine program that includes general as well as several subspecialized, multidisciplinary sleep clinics, and sleep laboratories at multiple sites.
- Multiple faculty positions are available in anticipation of the 2018 opening for a new Michigan Medicine sleep disorders center, in Brighton, MI, at a location about 30 minutes north of the main medical center campus in Ann Arbor.
- Appointments can be accommodated in the Departments of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry which can provide additional clinical opportunities if desired for successful applicants who are B.C. or B.E. in one of these fields.
- Although sleep fellows will not initially rotate through the Brighton facility, the new faculty will share some teaching responsibilities within a large ACGME-approved sleep medicine fellowship.
- Opportunities for research are available through the existing Sleep Disorders Centers and Center for Sleep Science, which involve more than 45 faculty, 15 departments, robust research programs, busy general and subspecialized clinical programs, clinical and research fellowship opportunities, and four T32 awards that can accommodate sleep research trainees.
