About You and The Role:

As a Service Billing Specialsit you will be responsible for invoicing designated and assigned customers in accordance with contract terms and customer requirements. This includes creating, processing, scanning, auditing, and distributing (via email or mail) invoices and supporting documentation in a timely manner, along with collections support. You will be responsible for self-auditing to ensure all costs are accurately accounted for and billed, while maintaining strong internal and external relationships in a high-volume, detail-driven environment.

A Day in The Life:

• Analyze billing requests for accuracy and completeness, prepare customer invoices timely and accurately per contractual obligations, and perform invoice reviews to confirm correct amounts and time periods
• Maintain and reconcile invoices with the Ariba application (PO & Staging Tracking)
• Interpret customer contracts to ensure transactions are prepared accurately in line with terms and specific requirements
• Distribute weekly/monthly billing reports to sales teams and management
• Assist in the accounts receivable closing process and verify completion of all invoices
• Review AR aging reports and follow up on past-due invoices weekly with customers and AR accountants as needed
• Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external partners to strengthen collaboration and work inter-departmentally with Sales and Services teams
• Assist in providing support for the year-end audit
• Research and resolve invoice questions from internal and external stakeholders
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting and financial projects as requested
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required
• 3+ years of experience in a high-volume, large-transaction billing or accounts receivable environment preferred
• Highly detail-oriented with strong ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Professional and highly developed communication skills; ability to interact courteously and professionally with customers and inter-departmental teams
• Effective prioritization and task execution skills
• Experience with systems like Ariba (or similar procurement/invoicing tools) a plus; familiarity with SAP or ERP environments beneficial
• Passionate, organized professional committed to accuracy and timeliness
