About Sage Media
Sage Media is seeking a Senior Digital Strategist to join our team of collaborative, campaign-tested professionals. We are a full-service political media buying agency that works with Democratic candidates and committees across the country, partnering on everything from local city council races to statewide and national candidate and advocacy campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital ad campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and major DSPs (The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, DV360), aligning performance with strategic goals
- Build comprehensive media plans with thoughtful budget allocation, channel mix, and audience segmentation
- Manage in-platform campaign execution, including QA, pacing, performance analysis, and troubleshooting
- Generate and interpret campaign performance reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Communicate directly with clients, consultants, and vendor reps to manage expectations, deliver updates, and provide strategic insight
- Partner with teammates and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution across creative, competitive, and finance verticals
- Contribute to internal process refinement, mentor junior staff when applicable, and share learnings to improve team output
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range is $65,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus a competitive end-of-cycle bonus reflecting the intensity and impact of election work.

This is a remote, cycle-based contract role running through November 2026. Given the nature of electoral work, evening and weekend hours may be required, particularly as we approach Election Day.

Our ideal candidate brings:
- 4–6 years of experience in digital media for political campaigns, IEs, committees, or agencies
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle digital campaigns—from media planning to execution, optimization, and reporting
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines across multiple workstreams
- Hands-on experience in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and at least one major DSP (TTD, StackAdapt, DV360, Basis, Amazon, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills – confident with formulas, pivot tables, pacing tools, and campaign planning templates
- Deep understanding of digital media buying, including pricing models, ad formats, placements, audience segmentation, and KPIs
- Familiarity with the digital political ecosystem, including key vendors, data platforms, and compliance frameworks
- Experience communicating with clients or consultants in high-stakes environments
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting, with excellent judgment around escalation and follow-through
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with CM360, TargetSmart, L2, or Catalist
- Skills in SQL, Python, or other data querying or automation tools
- Familiarity with data visualization or reporting platforms (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau)
- Experience mentoring junior staff or collaborating with seasonal teams
- Interest in expanding your portfolio to include statewide, national, and high-budget campaign programs
- Comfort interpreting polling or analytics to inform digital strategy
