Experience Required

The Assistant Professional must be a Class "A" PGA Member in good standing, or actively enrolled as a PGA Associate. If the assistant is not yet a PGA Professional, they must be actively working towards attaining membership in a timely manner.

Compensation range for this position is $21-$23 per hour paid weekly. You can expect a reasonable amount of overtime paid at 1.5x. The ideal candidate will start March 16th and work through mid November. The Assistant Professional is entitled to retain 85% of their teaching and coaching income which is paid through the Club's Payroll. Non-members lessons are permitted on weekdays only.

The ideal candidate values relationships, accountability, and constant improvement - both personally and as part of a team.

Overview:

• 5-6 day work week
• 45-55 hours in peak season
• Required rounds of golf played with members
• Metropolitan PGA section events strongly encouraged
• Daily shop shifts

Key Responsibilities :

• Have an end goal of being a Head Golf Professional
• Tournament Lead for all member events & outings (Golf Genius proficiency required)
• Junior Program Lead
• Provide 20-25 hours of Golf Shop coverage weekly

This role is not limited to the above bullet points, but they will be the main responsibilities of this position. Practicing and playing is strongly encouraged, when appropriate.
