Description

This position is responsible for the upkeep and maintaining landscape design integrity by removing weeds or dead plants from the property and caring for flowers on the property. This position is critical to the department and organization because the comfort, cleanliness and safety of our guests is paramount to the success of guest service driven events held at the venue. 

Safely store and handle all equipment, tools, etc. 
Operate string trimmer and edger to remove overgrowth along walkways, flower beds, walls, etc.  
Spread fertilizer, plant food, rake soil, mulch, and other materials around plants. 
Remove weeds and dead plants; prune overgrown limbs and leaves. 
Water and plant flowers 
Cut lawn using hand, power, or riding mower. 
May operate heavy tractor equipment if needed. 
Medium/Heavy Work: Lifting 75-80 pounds Maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency required. 
Must have previous experience with operating lawn maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.  
Driver’s license preferred. 
Excellent communication skills: listening skills with the ability to problem-solve. 
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. 
Ability to work effectively with others – must possess a cooperative work attitude. 
Detail oriented, ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment 
Able to work independently. 
Ability to occasionally push/carry landscaping equipment. 
Frequent, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
