Description
Event Support personnel function as an extension of the Security Department, operating directly under the direction of a Security Supervisor. This role provides critical support to security operations by assisting with access control, guest management, venue monitoring, and situational awareness throughout Henry Maier Festival Park. Event Support personnel may be assigned to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater, BMO Pavilion, Northwestern Mutual Community Park Children’s Area, or any other location on the grounds where security support is required. The primary focus of this position is to enhance safety, reinforce secure entry and exit processes, and assist Security staff in maintaining order during all events.
Support Security personnel in enforcing access control at designated posts.
Greet guests professionally and assist with ticket verification to prevent unauthorized
access.
Monitor assigned areas for safety concerns, suspicious behavior, prohibited items, or
policy violations and report them immediately to Security.
Assist Security in maintaining controlled movement of patrons during peak traffic and
high-density crowd conditions.
Serve as an additional set of eyes and ears for Security, enhancing situational awareness in
all assigned locations.
Ensure only authorized individuals with proper credentials enter restricted, backstage, or
production areas.
Provide oversight in the Northwestern Mutual Community Park to ensure safe use of
equipment and observant supervision of children.
Assist in resolving guest concerns by directing individuals to appropriate Security, Guest
Services, or medical personnel.
Help facilitate evacuations, re-entry procedures, or emergency responses as directed by
Security Supervisors.
Provide venue information and wayfinding support, including restrooms, exits, medical
locations, and ADA assistance.
Maintain assigned post and never depart without being properly relieved by a Supervisor.
Perform physical functions including prolonged standing, walking, climbing stairs, moving
barricades (up to 25 lbs.), and pushing gates.
Attend mandatory training sessions and security-driven operational briefings prior to and
during the event season.
Willingness to be reassigned to any post on the grounds as operational needs evolve
Must maintain a clean, professional, and well-groomed appearance at all times
Light/Medium Work: Lifting 30 pounds Maximum, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
Requirements
Ability to work collaboratively with Security and other event personnel in a fast-paced
environment.
Adapt to dynamic environments including high noise levels, flashing lights, crowded
spaces, and varying weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with guests.
Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective when dealing with intoxicated, emotional,
or disruptive individuals.
