Description
A highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal is sought to join a busy Milford, CT law firm, which has been in practice since 1949. The ideal candidate will assist with high-volume residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring smooth and efficient processes from inception to closing. This role requires experience in drafting real estate documents and recordings, ordering and reviewing title searches, and familiarity with title software and title policies.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and organize legal documents related to residential and commercial real estate transactions
Conduct title searches and preliminary title examinations using title software
Assist attorneys with drafting and filing deeds, affidavits, closing statements, and other transaction documents
Manage closing timelines and coordinate with clients, lenders, and title companies
Maintain accurate and organized files for all transactions
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies
Handle multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and government agencies
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a real estate paralegal, preferably in a high-volume setting
Strong knowledge of residential and commercial real estate transactions
Proficiency with title software and other legal technology tools
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in document review and preparation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills
Requirements
Associate’s degree or paralegal certification preferred
Experience in real estate law, but willing to train
Familiarity with Connecticut real estate regulations
