- Private Practice Adolescent Medicine Physician
Description
Seeking a passionate Adolescent Medicine Physician to join a thriving concierge adolescent and young adult medicine private practice in New York City.
Our Practice
Tribeca Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine (TAYAM) is a truly unique practice. Through our concierge model, we are able to provide deeply comprehensive, patient-centered care in a warm and nurturing environment. By intentionally limiting our overall patient volume, we have the capacity for increased availability to our patients and unhurried visits, which allows us to provide highly specialized, evidence based, state-of-the-science medicine that focuses on the individual needs of each of our patients.
At TAYAM, we weave the many facets of Adolescent Medicine - including reproductive and sexual health; eating disorder care, nutritional and metabolic health; mental health; puberty, hormone and growth concerns; gender-affirming care; sports medicine; and urgent care into a comprehensive primary care model that allows us to provide our patients with a true medical home. What’s more, we can do all of this without worrying about time constraints or jam-packed clinical schedules; bureaucratic or administrative oversight; concerns about RVUs, funding cuts, or grant allocations; or insurance coverage limitations.
This is an exceptional opportunity to practice medicine at a leading private practice in New York City—the nation’s premier hub for innovation in medicine, home to world-class institutions, and a thriving network of top specialists across and beyond our field.
The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician who excels at both providing direct patient care and building strong professional relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
- Deliver the highest standard of personalized, comprehensive medical care to your own panel of patients, ranging from pre-pubertal adolescents through young adults. Your clinical duties will include providing primary and preventive health care; providing urgent medical care for sick patients; managing and treating a wide spectrum of specialized adolescent health issues, including, but not limited to, reproductive and sexual health, eating disorders, mental health, puberty, hormone and growth concerns, and sports medicine.
- Cultivate strong, trusting relationships with adolescents, young adults, and their families, acting as the dedicated primary medical point of contact. You will serve as the foundation for your patients’ medical home and ensure highly attentive, direct patient support.
- Coordinate and collaborate with a trusted network of outside physicians, dietitians, therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure your patients receive the most comprehensive support possible.
- Actively engage in a close-knit, supportive professional environment, fostering camaraderie and collaborating with fellow TAYAM physicians on complex cases and shared practice goals.
- Demonstrate a proactive commitment to continuous professional development by actively keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements in Adolescent Medicine through medical journal subscriptions, participation in professional organizations, and attendance at relevant academic conferences.
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and staying at the forefront of medical knowledge by maintaining a voluntary faculty appointment at a NYC academic hospital center.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the administrative and business operations of a medical private practice, always ensuring maintenance of business integrity and sound professional behavior.
The NYC Advantage
Beyond the vibrant life of a world-class city, practicing medicine in New York City offers unparalleled professional benefits. You will be at the heart of medical innovation, surrounded by world-renowned hospitals, top-tier medical and allied health schools, and a huge network of leading specialists. NYC is a hub for the best minds in medicine, providing endless opportunities for collaboration, professional networking, and professional growth across the Adolescent Medicine field and beyond.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a board-certified or board-eligible Adolescent Medicine specialist with a deep commitment to patient-centered care. We are looking for a physician who is not only a clinical expert but also a proactive collaborator who thrives in a team-based environment. This role is perfect for a physician who wants to work in a setting that values a deep focus on patient relationships and professional collaboration over administrative overhead or academic requirements. We are open to recruiting both new graduates completing their fellowship and seasoned providers who are looking for a unique practice setting.
