A technology‑focused private equity firm is seeking a driven Associate to join its investment team. The firm manages approximately $2 billion in assets and recently closed a $1 billion institutional fund, continuing its strategy of investing in founder‑led, high‑growth software and tech‑enabled services businesses. The platform emphasizes disciplined underwriting, hands‑on value creation, and building market‑leading companies within the lower‑middle market.

Position Overview
The Associate will contribute across all stages of the investment lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluating, executing, and supporting portfolio investments. The role provides significant visibility, autonomy, and exposure to a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and assess potential investments through industry research, targeted outreach, financial analysis, and market mapping.
• Build detailed financial models and support comprehensive due diligence across commercial, financial, legal, technical, and operational workstreams.
• Prepare investment materials, including memos, valuations, and strategic analyses for internal decision‑making.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and collaborate with management teams on operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with add‑on acquisitions, integration efforts, and value‑creation projects across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or another analytical, transaction‑oriented role.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to assess business models, markets, competitive dynamics, and growth drivers.
• High‑ownership mindset and the ability to excel in a lean, high‑accountability environment.
• Genuine interest in technology, innovation, and software‑centric business models.
