Human Resources Specialist A growing organization located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to join their team. This position is responsible for supporting daily HR operations and assisting with employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and administrative functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Duties:
Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, and orientation processes
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Support payroll processing, timekeeping, and benefits administration
Coordinate interviews, schedule meetings, and assist with recruitment efforts
Respond to employee questions regarding company policies and procedures
Track employee attendance, leave requests, and compliance requirements
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and internal HR communications
Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information
Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
Collaborate with management to support daily operational needs
Qualifications:
Previous human resources or administrative experience preferred
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Experience with HRIS systems is a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required

Contract to hire role
Located onsite in Kearny Mesa, San Diego
Full-time hours, Monday through Friday
8:00am-5:00pm PST
Compensation: $26.00-$36.00 per hour DOE
