Overview

Our chapter is looking for enthusiastic and caring coaches to serve as positive mentors and role models to kids and teens in our golf and life skill classes throughout Fresno and Madera Counties. These individuals should have a desire to help kids learn the game of golf and embody the key concepts of the First Tee curriculum to become a Game Changer.

Coaches are trained to deliver First Tee golf and life skills curriculum and lesson plans set forth by the Program Director. First Tee curriculum is built on research-proven methods of positive youth development, providing coaches with the tools to make kids feel safe, included and empowered.

Experience Required

Youth development experience preferred.

Golf teaching experience preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

Must have reliable transportation, pass a backround check, complete Assistant Coach Training (ACT) and Safesport 80 before coaching a class.

Essential responsibilites will include following First Tee - Fresno lesson plans which include First Tee key commitments and junior golf instruction for ages 4-17, maintaining equipment and equipment storage areas, attending paid training days as neccesary.

Staff member will instruct classes at partnering green-grass locations as well as at Boys and Girls Clubs through Fresno County and in PE programs throughout Fresno Unified School District.
