Girl Scouts San Diego is seeking responsible, enthusiastic individuals to help create safe, supportive, and memorable experiences for campers ages 7-17.
As an Overnight Camp Counselor, you’ll live onsite and play an essential role in daily camp life. Counselors supervise campers, leading them in activities that help them discover courage they didn’t know they had, build confidence that lasts beyond summer, and form friendships that last a lifetime.

What You’ll Do
- Lead campers in activities such as arts & crafts, sports, hiking, swimming, games, and campfires.
- Support campers through daily routines including meals, hygiene, cleanup, and lights-out, and help them resolve conflicts or challenges.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment during both structured programs and free time, modeling positive behavior that encourages participation and growth.
- Collaborate with teammates to support general camp operations, setup, cleanup, activity preparation, and a great camper experience.

Employment Dates & Compensation
June 15 through July 25, 2026
$96 - $103 per day (depending on experience) - meals & lodging included
Requirements
What You Bring
- At least 18 years old by June 15, 2026.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Commitment to work June 15 through July 25, 2026.
- Experience in camps, youth programs, education, recreation, or similar roles working with diverse age groups, preferred.
- Comfortable living and working in an overnight camp environment with variable weather and close-quarter community living.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, resilience, patience, and enthusiasm for long, active days.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or commitment to obtain before camp begins).
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
