Description

Established (70 years) ophthalmology practice is seeking an exceptionally proficient and competent optometrist to work alongside an ophthalmologist. Speaking additional languages is a plus. 

Duties:

1. Comprehensive eye examinations

2. Accurate refractions

3. Prescribe and fit contact lenses

4. Manage contact lens department including vendor relations and inventory ordering

5. Perform diagnostic testing needed for patient management

6. Review testing with patients and review with medical director as needed

7. Perform pre and post operative management for patients undergoing eye surgery

8. Co-manage ophthalmologist cataract and LASIK procedures

9. Conduct emergency eye exams

Qualifications:

Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with current certification to practice independently.
