Description
The Optical Director is responsible for the leadership, development, and daily operations of the Optical Department, including patient care.
Requirements
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Oversees Optometry staff, including work allocation, training, problem resolution, and performance management
Provides direct patient eye care, including those duties listed for Staff Optometrist.
Manages fiscal responsibility for Optometry department
Prepare, reviews, and revises policies and procedure manual for Optometry at least annually
Oversees department quality improvement initiatives and key indicator studies
Prepares, reviews and presents quarterly statistical and financial reports, developing a plan of action to address any concerns
Reviews all clinical concerns submitted related to optical incidents or quality of care issues as presented or identified utilizing the prescribed peer review format
Participates as a member of the Clinical Leaders Team
What you’ll need to be successful:
Doctorate Degree in Optometry with an OD; three (3) years clinic experience; one (1) year director experience
FQHC or Native American clinic experience preferred
Current WI and DEA
Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
(Health Only) FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
