- Midlevel Provide Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Description
The St. Louis County Department of Public Health seeks to hire an engaged, energetic primary care nurse practitioner or physician assistant licensed to serve adults, and children at the St. Louis County jail and juvenile detention center. This position provides outpatient, urgent, emergent and infirmary care for a diverse patient population with the support of a full time, inhouse medical director. When fully staffed, an APP is present in the facility 24/7/365 to support the medical needs of our patient population.
Work six 24 hour shifts every 28 days and be considered full time.
Each month you will have more than 7 days off in a row.

Requirements
Requires Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner degree with Pass/Completion of the National Commission on Certification of Physical Assistants (NCCPA) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification (AANPCB) Boards and three years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
Meets local/national standards in care delivery, consistent with education and training, maintains all required licensures/registrations/certifications/trainings including HIPAA and any others required by DPH
