Description
Ohio Valley Integration Services, a trusted leader in low-voltage integration, is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Estimator/Project Manager to join our Sidney Ohio team.
This role requires expertise in low-voltage systems, including structured cabling, fire alarm design, security systems, access control, CCTV systems, and data networks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage projects from design through completion in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full project lifecycle for low-voltage system installations, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion
- Complete fire alarm design and submittal reviews in accordance with state and local codes
- Perform project takeoffs and develop detailed, accurate estimates
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of project documentation and specifications
- Develop and manage implementation and construction plans
- Coordinate all purchasing, materials, and subcontractor activities
- Generate and track Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Draft and manage subcontractor agreements and project change orders
- Maintain detailed daily reports, billing forecasts, and progress documentation
- Interface directly with clients, stakeholders, and general contractors to ensure quality and satisfaction
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and project closeout
Requirements
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on low-voltage system experience (structured cabling, security, access control, etc.)
- Strong understanding of industry regulations, codes, and design standards
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and travel when customer requirements dictate
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- NICET Level III or IV Certification required
- State of Ohio Fire Alarm Designer Certification required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds of equipment or materials
- Extended periods of sitting while working on a computer or phone
