Description
NFI Massachusetts, Inc., a non-profit human service agency, is currently seeking a Life Skills Coach for its Lofts program in Haverhill, MA.
The NFI Lofts is driven by curiosity, passion, optimism, and the belief that everybody can grow. We’d love for you to come join our diverse, dedicated and energetic team!
The Lofts is a 5-bedroom community living program for young adults between the ages of 18-22, in Haverhill MA. The Life Skills Coach works collaboratively with young adults to help strengthen their skills, competencies, resources and supports as they transition towards independent living.
Pay: $22/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Coach/support young adults to establish and maintain daily and weekly routines for education and vocational programming, community-based therapy, recreation, as well as social and wellness-related activities.
- Assist in making referrals to community providers, as needed.
- Act as an educational liaison for young adults attending high school or educational equivalent.
- Support the development and implementation of young adults’ individualized treatment plans.
- Participate in daily program structure and operations.
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in sociology, psychology, or a related field and at least one year of experience working with youth and/or young adults.
- Work experience in a residential care setting preferred. Lived Experience a PLUS
- Demonstrated ability to function in a team atmosphere.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
