Job Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include collecting and reporting patient data, carrying out clinical orders, and performing therapeutic procedures in an age-appropriate and population-appropriate manner. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support patient care. Candidates with hospital experience—especially LTACH or Med Surg—are preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN
Gather, document, and report patient data
Execute clinical orders accurately and safely
Perform therapeutic procedures appropriate to patient condition
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and care standards
Support additional patient care needs as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
Education & Training
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse
Current BLS certification
Experience
One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in emergency or critical care settings
Comfortable working with vents, trachs, PICC lines
Two years of direct patient care experience
