LEAD COOK
As a True Friends Lead Cook, you'll lead and inspire our Foodservice team while actively participating in meal preparation and cooking. You'll help maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment and play a key role in creating nourishing meals that fuel unforgettable experiences for campers, guests, and staff. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where your leadership and culinary skills make a meaningful impact.
Schedule: Part-time, Year-Round, Weekend/Weekday, Day/Evening
Pay: $17.71 p/hr
Location: In person - Camp Courage Maple Lake, MN

How You'll Contribute:
- Supervise, train, and guide other food service employees
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory
- Perform opening and/or closing duties for kitchen and dining area
- Communicate food service updates, needs, and concerns to the supervisor
- Prepare, cook, bake, and serve meals in alignment with menus, recipes, and production requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Clear, wash, dry, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher
- Set up and reset the dining area for meal services
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Must be able to pass an organizational background study
- Minimum age of 18 years or older
- Must be able to consistently work on weekends
- Previous food service experience required, with knowledge of proper food handling procedures
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Hold or be willing to acquire MN Department of Health Food Managers License
Physical demands:
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate verbally
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, reach, and move continually during working hours
- Ability to feel objects and use fingers to operate tools and controls
