Lead CNC Programmer (GibbsCAM Specialist)
Fabriweld Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Lead CNC Programmer to develop, refine, and optimize CNC programs using GibbsCAM, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD Inventor. This pivotal role is responsible for generating precise machine instructions for large, cutting-edge OEM projects. You will utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex blueprints and technical models into instructions for multi-axis turning centers and vertical milling centers.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Development & Leadership: Develop and refine programs primarily using GibbsCAM for lathes, mills, and multi-axis machining centers.
- Technical Translation: Comprehend intricate product designs and accurately translate them into computer modeling software.
- Process Improvement: Recommend specific tooling to drive manufacturing efficiency and create improved work processes to enhance quality and reduce defects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with CNC machinists, managers, and processors to ensure seamless program execution and meet all delivery timelines.
- Quality & Safety: Use advanced measurement and math skills to ensure the precision of complex projects while maintaining a safe, organized workstation.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally within a machining or manufacturing environment.
- Software Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in GibbsCAM and AutoCAD is required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced ability to read and comprehend complex blueprints, models, and technical drawings.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in performing complicated math functions and precision measurements.
- Physical Capabilities: Must be able to remain stationary at a CAD workstation for long periods and frequently move about the manufacturing floor to inspect parts and equipment.
- Manual Dexterity: Precision use of hands and fingers to operate high-accuracy measuring tools, such as calipers and tape measures.
- Lifting: Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
