Job Summary
Performs a variety of independent laboratory work and experiments such as determining experimental protocols and preparation of specimens and cultures. Prepares reports of findings subsequent to compilation and analyzation. Oversees specimen inventory. Develops documentation for publication; crafts manuscripts and grant proposals.
Essential Functions
The person should be able to do cell culture, process cells for PCR, and operate fluorescent microscopes with assistance from me at the minimum.
Experience with micro-CT, frozen sections, and spectrofluorometry all good, but not expected. Experience with NIH databases for PCR and related things good, but I can teach that.
Physical Effort
Position is mostly stationary but requires walking between collaboration areas.
