Description
The rapidly expanding Cardiology Division in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting a fellowship trained S Interventional Cardiology faculty member to join UAMS Health in Little Rock, Arkansas. The candidate must be board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. The applicant is expected to demonstrate expertise in a broad variety of cardiac and complex coronary interventional procedures. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, educational, research, and administrative functions of the Cardiology Division.
Join a growing program with 15 faculty, 12 general fellows, 3 interventional fellows, and 2 electrophysiology fellows. Individuals with all levels of experience and seniority will be considered on a competitive basis. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.

1 day in clinic, 2+ days in Cath lab
New structural heart lab built in 2020; growing structural volumes with excellent imaging support; rapidly expanding VV and VA ECMO program
STEMI Call rotation is 1:4
Requires interest in mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and ECPR
Highly supportive and collegial environment within cardiology, as well as surgical specialties (Cardiothoracic, Interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery)
Increasing volume of high risk and complex coronary interventions
Interested candidates have the opportunity to grow the peripheral interventional program
Active participation in general and interventional fellows’ education
Opportunities for administrative role in the Interventional fellowship program
Relocation allowance provided
Annual CME funding provided by the division. Engagement in inter and intra departmental research is encouraged
