Description
The Norfolk Chamber Music Festival/Yale School of Music is the oldest classical music festival in the country. Summer residencies at Norfolk provide young professional musicians and composers with daily coachings and mentorship from the most respected artists in classical music. The Festival hosts a world-class concert series in its historic concert hall – the Music Shed. With recently modernized facilities and an impeccable reputation for excellent pedagogy and performances, the Festival is a thriving and exciting place to work.
We are currently hiring multiple interns for summer 2026. Internships offer the opportunity to learn about all aspects of arts administration, including operations, production, development, ticket sales, and marketing. Festival interns reside on Norfolk’s picturesque estate throughout the summer. Meals, housing, and a stipend are provided, and internships may be eligible for college credit. Internship dates are the weekend of June 12-14 (move to estate) until Sunday, August 23 (departure from estate).
For more details about each available internship, interested candidates can visit https://music.yale.edu/summer-internships. Applicants should e-mail a resume and brief cover letter to norfolk@yale.edu. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled.
