Tyndale is hiring a strategic, people-focused Human Resources Manager who builds strong, high-performing teams and fosters a culture of trust, accountability, and collaboration. This HR Manager can both successfully blend hands-on leadership with strategic partnership and coach and develop HR staff while aligning people strategies to operational goals. Skilled in employee relations, compliance, and data-driven decision-making, they’ll proactively drive team engagement, employee satisfaction and retention, and will assist in optimizing productivity across Tyndale locations. Strength in cross-functional collaboration, process improvement, and talent development makes this manager influential in shaping Tyndale's culture, advancing our organizational effectiveness, and supporting long-term business and HR success.
HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires candidates to work 2 days a week onsite, and 3 days a week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our Houston Distribution Center location in North Houston area and Corporate Office in City Centre for onsite work as needed.

Leadership & Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Coordinators and HR Generalists supporting both all Tyndale locations and employees.
Establish clear performance goals, metrics, and development plans for team members.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance and mentorship to the HR team, ensuring consistent application of HR practices across both sites.
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
Partner with Distribution Center leadership to align HR strategies with operational and organizational goals.
Serve as a strategic business partner to managers, providing insights on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.
Participate in annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure HR resources meet business demands.
Analyze workforce trends and metrics to provide proactive recommendations that drive retention, productivity, and engagement.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders on HR matters, fostering open communication and a positive work environment.
Manage and resolve complex escalated employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
Advise on matters related to internal investigations, preparing documentation, and recommending corrective actions where appropriate.
Develop and implement engagement initiatives to enhance employee morale, retention, and culture alignment.
Policy, Compliance & HR Operations
Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Oversee accurate maintenance of personnel files, HRIS data, and reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other applicable regulations.
Partner with Legal and senior HR leadership on compliance audits and risk mitigation initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information at all times.
Health, Safety, and Employee Wellbeing
Partner with Operations and Safety teams to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and promote a safe workplace.
Support proactive safety initiatives and ensure incident documentation and follow-up are completed timely.
Participate in safety committee meetings and wellness initiatives
Serve as point of contact for benefits inquiries and partner with vendors to resolve escalated issues.
Talent Management and Performance Management
Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to ensure consistent recruiting and onboarding practices across locations.
Identify training needs and coordinate or deliver learning opportunities to strengthen leadership and employee capability.
Manage HR’s role in annual merit and performance review processes.
Champion employee development programs to promote internal growth and retention.
HR Systems, Data, and Analytics
Utilize HRIS and reporting tools to analyze trends and key metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement, attendance, performance).
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline HR processes for greater efficiency.
Partner with HR leadership to evaluate and implement HR technology and vendor solutions that enhance service delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects
Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives involving HR, Operations, Sales, and Finance.
Manage HR-related projects from concept to completion, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
Collaborate with senior leadership on organizational changes, restructuring, and change management initiatives.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
Certification: SHRM-CP or PHR required; SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of progressive HR Generalist/Practitioner experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing HR operations and teams in multiple states. 
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Must be within a commutable distance to Tyndale’s Houston Distribution Center for weekly onsite work and willing to commit to both periodic travel to Pennsylvania Headquarters and/or other company sites as needed (on a quarterly-basis) - Must be able to travel overnight by plane to out-of-area locations, if requested.
Demonstrated experience supporting distribution, manufacturing, or multi-site operations strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, employee relations, and HR systems.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities as a leader and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Strong leadership competency, with a customer service focus, sense of urgency, and excellent follow through;
Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Strong proficiency and prior experience with HRMS systems required; experience using Ultimate Software (UKG) a plus;
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and execute HR initiatives and projects.
A high level of flexibility and adaptability;
Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems and communicate ideas and strategies;
Experience with creating and maintaining Affirmative Action Plans a plus;
