Description
Position Summary
The HR Trainer/Administrator role will work closely with the HR Director and other HR members to ensure the company is in compliance with DOL and IRS regulations, help create and enforce policies and procedures, and to create training programs to benefit company culture. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production and operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and perform a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new hires to ensure they feel welcomed, informed, and equipped for success
- Provide sexual harassment and safety training for new hire orientation and for the general employee population throughout the year
- Conduct needs assessments regarding managerial skills, leadership, and process improvement
- Create and deliver leadership and management development programs that enhance managers’ ability to lead their teams respectfully, productively, and effectively while accommodating demanding schedules
- Create and conduct a variety of training and development programs to enhance skills and promote professional growth within the organization (team development, computer, ERP/HRIS, etc.)
- Support performance management processes by assisting managers with evaluations, feedback, and goal-setting procedures
- Help develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and strengthen the company culture
- Ensure organizational compliance with labor laws and regulation by keeping abreast of local, state, and federal requirements and enforcing HR policies and procedures
- Help coordinate the recruitment and hiring process, from posting job openings to screening candidates and onboarding new employees
- Serve as a trusted resource and initial point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
- Maintain and help manage employee records and HRIS systems to ensure data integrity and confidentiality
- Assist and/or work on other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in HR management, related field and 3+ years experience OR 5 years’ equivalent experience in HR and training
- Scrappy thinking and creativity to solve problems under considerable limitations
- A solutions-focused attitude with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work with accuracy and minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality required
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems (UKG)
- Prizes integrity, accuracy, and humor
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
Must be able to quickly traverse manufacturing areas.
