About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to join the internal HR team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn, ask questions, and gain hands-on experience while supporting core people initiatives.
This is a temporary, internal position with our client with the potential for full-time employment after six months, based on performance. Clear growth opportunities exist, including progression into an HR Generalist role.

Work Schedule & Location
Location: Southfield, MI
Monday through Friday
Core hours: approximately 8:00/8:30 a.m. – 4:00/4:30 p.m.
On-site presence required Monday through Thursday
Remote work available on Fridays
Candidates graduating in May 2026 may be considered for a modified schedule to allow completion of final coursework
Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team across a variety of functional areas and projects, including:
-Assisting with talent acquisition and recruiting activities.
-Supporting new hire onboarding and orientation processes
-Maintaining employee records and HR documentation
-Assisting with talent management and HR-related initiatives
-Working closely with experienced HR professionals to build practical skills and exposure
-This role offers meaningful experience for individuals pursuing a career in human resources.
Requirements
Qualifications
We are looking for a curious, proactive learner who takes initiative and is committed to professional development.
-Recent or upcoming degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field
-New graduates are encouraged to apply; prior hands-on HR experience is not required
-Previous internship experience preferred but not required
-Willingness to ask questions, seek feedback, and take ownership of learning opportunities
-Training and mentorship will be provided.
Technical Skills
Strong overall computer proficiency
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
