Description
OverviewThe Golf Professional key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and ensuring that all quality standards for Windham's golf operations are maintained, through the supervision and direction of the Windham Golf Course staff, providing excellent customer service and delivering an exceptional golf experience. The candidate will be responsible for driving performance to attain established goals in collaboration with the General Manager and Owner. Candidate must be a team player, have a passion for customer service, and be hands-on.
Experience Required
• PGA Class "A" Member or LPGA Professional in good standing with exemplary communication skills.
or
• PGA associate "B-classification" registered in the PGA program, working towards a class "A" membership.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Microsoft applications, EZ Links, EZ Suite and Live Tourney & Golf Genius.
• Enthusiastic leader - willing and able to mentor, develop and motivate.
• Minimum of 2 years Golf Professional experience
Essential Responsibilities
• Oversee the operations of the Pro Shop and Driving Range.
• Hire, trains, and schedule staff, as well as evaluating employee performance with general manager.
• Collaborate with marketing plans and promotions.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
• Support daily opening/closing procedures and tee sheet management.
• Coordinates tournaments and special events with the other WGC employees.
• Keeps abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Build relationships with members, guests, and the community.
• Always represents the club professionally and positively.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
