Overview

The position of Golf Special Assistant will serve as the "Lead" Pro Shop Assistant and be tasked with some similar duties that an Assistant Golf Professional may have.

The person applying for this position must have an understanding of the game of golf, understand golf specific vocabulary, be proficient at a tecnhological level, and understand the basics of a private country club operation & pro shop.

The applicant will assist The Head Golf Professional & 1st Assistant Golf Professional with day-to-day operations, Tournament Operations, Pro Shop Merchandising & Sales, Membership Relations, Staff Administration & General Golf Specific tasks.

Experience Required

While there is not an experience requirement for this position, we ask that the person applying for this position possesses these qualities.

• Has a strong passion for The Game of Golf
• Plays or has played competitive golf
• Has a desire to work in the Golf Industry
• Is willing to learn about the business of golf
• Is willing to adapt to changes & policies
• Ability to work variable hours to include weekends and holidays
• Organizational skills to handle multiple duties with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
• Operate office equipment, software and operating systems/applications.
