Overview

Coyote Creek Golf Club is a private championship length 18-hole facility (with a full membership) that was built in 1929. We are known for being the course that Arnold Palmer received his first paycheck as a golf professional, which helped kick start his career. The club generates around 26,000 rounds annually and has a very popular standing with the people of Fort Wayne, Indiana. We pride ourselves on the professionalism that we provide to all members and guests that come to our facility, and we strive to provide the best team possible to keep elevating the club each year. The position (Golf Shop Associate) will work directly with the Director of Golf and the Head Golf Professional to ensure that we can provide the best possible service in the golf shop and give each person a memorable experience while at the facility. The position will require the candidate to be professional, personable, and willing to learn multiple aspects of the business.

Experience Required

• Having previous experience in the golf industry is preferred - but not required
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Experience in sales at another job
• The ability to handle cash and learn a POS system
• Excellent time management skills
• Friendly and professional appearance

Essential Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a friendly/professional service
• Assist customers with all aspects of buying in the golf shop
• Operate the cash register along with all transactions in the shop
• Manage the tee sheet and use the POS system (Point of Sale Software)
• Assist the professional staff with all tournaments and event operations
• Answer phone calls and respond to all customer inquiries
• Keep shop clean and organized
• Daily operations as required
