Overview

Sunset Hills Country Club is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Golf Shop Assistant to support daily golf operations and deliver an exceptional member and guest experience. This position plays a key role in the golf shop, assisting with merchandising, tournament operations, tee sheet management, and overall service excellence.

Experience Required

• Previous golf shop or retail experience preferred
• Knowledge of the game of golf and golf terminology required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills (POS systems experience a plus)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to members and guests in person and over the phone
• Manage tee times through the club's POS/tee sheet system
• Process merchandise sales, returns, and special orders
• Assist with receiving, tagging, displaying, and inventory control of golf shop merchandise
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop and surrounding areas
• Support tournament and event operations, including registration, scoring, and prize distribution
• Promote upcoming events, clinics, and promotions
• Communicate effectively with outside services staff, golf professionals, and clubhouse team
• Enforce club policies and maintain a professional atmosphere at all times
