Job Summary The Fleet and Equipment Planner uses organizational and logistical assets to coordinate all parts of Public Safety Fleet. Maintains inventory of departmental supplies in a warehouse. Uses leadership and communication skills to monitor and supervise staff. Responds to customer or vendor concerns. Essential Functions of the Role * Coordinates fleet functions and related vendor contracts, fleet, uniforms and equipment. * Coordinates auto service for Public Safety Fleet. * Maintains accurate inventory of departmental uniforms, equipment and vehicles. * Issues uniforms and equipment to new employees and recovers upon termination or resignation. * Meets with stakeholders and vendors for uniforms, vehicles and equipment. Key Success Factors * Ability to provide consistently excellent customer service with lenity, patience and confidence. * Ability to comprehend the customer's point of view and take ownership of creating a solution to their issues. * Ability to manage inventory for uniforms and equipment. * Must be able to work under stressful conditions. * General computer skills, including but not limited to: using required software applications, data entry, information security, handheld scanning and email. Diploma/GED Equivalent * EXPERIENCE - 1 Year of Experience * CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - Drivers License (TXDL): If moving from out of state must obtain valid TX DL within 90 days of hire.
