GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The District Technician is responsible for assisting in setup, configuration, and maintenance of all District owned technology. Provide all levels of technical support to both students and staff. This is an entry level position

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associates Degree in Computer Related Studies preferred. Experience with iOS, ChromeOS, Windows, and MacOS platforms.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides technical support to students and staff, including training on technology use, device and software setup, troubleshooting, repairs, backups, patch management, firewall maintenance, user account administration (Active Directory and Google Workspace), and monitoring network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, servers, phones, and peripherals). Assists the Network/System Administrator with inventory, documentation, vendor coordination, and system upgrades, while obtaining required certifications during the first contract year

SALARY & BENEFITS:
Entry level starting at $45,000. This position qualifies for Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund and related benefits
