*Position Summary: * The Admissions Director has direct oversight over all admissions, ensuring the process is efficient and that the needs of the individual served are at the forefront of the planning. This role is tasked with obtaining all necessary intake documents and conducting bio-psycho-social assessments to identify the strengths and needs of the individual served. Key responsibilities include assessing acuity, staffing, safety, and clinical/medical needs, attending referral meetings, and proactively managing the census.
*Responsibilities:* • Always be compliant with all company and regulatory policies and procedures. • Supervises all admissions staff and meets with direct reports at a minimum bi-weekly. • Responsible for contacting and meeting with all referring agencies for placement of individuals with BSLS. • Arrange tours and/or presentations of our programs to potential consumers, families, and agencies. • Consults with management during the admission process, as needed. • Communicates with management and other employees regarding new individuals and their needs. • Attend meetings related to referrals and individual placements. • Proactively manage the census at the home sites and communicates with both internal and external entities. • Prepares monthly report on vacancies, referrals, discharges and pending admissions for internal and external entities. • Coordinate with the Leadership Team on individual placements and compatibility with available treatment programs. • Conduct Bio-Psycho-Social assessments promoting positive support whenever possible by capturing “whole person” data on each Individual being supported including the person's medical, behavioral health and trauma history, strengths and positive attributes; likes, dislikes, talents, and interests to ensure plans of service include and support these attributes. • Ensures collection of data related to all diagnoses, medications, care providers and upcoming appointments upon admission. • Ensures all documentation for admission, discharge and transfers within residential are completed in accordance with state licensing standards. • Ensures the PHQ-9 and Columbia SSRS, if indicated by the PHQ-9, and subsequent safety planning are administered/completed within 30 days of admission. • Maintains consistent contact with referral sources and acts as liaison between BSLS and all referring agencies, corporations and individuals. • Completes initial internal acuity rating using BSLS Acuity Rating Tool and collaborates with leadership team to negotiate rate exceptions. • Enter all required electronic information as necessary. • Reviews and coordinates contracts with the necessary departments. • Attend conferences, training sessions, seminars, and other professional skill development activities as approved. • Participate in the company leadership and decision-making as requested.
*Education and Qualifications:* • Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in the human services field is preferred. • Minimum 1-2 years' experience working with both mentally ill and intellectually disabled adult populations is preferred • State License in Behavioral Health discipline preferred (LCSW, LSW, LPC, LPCC, LLPC, LBA). • Travel expected 30% • Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs. • Required experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • *Must have understanding of waivers given for support living- day and residential programs.* *IDD experience is required. *
