Position

The Director of Golf at Lake Hickory Country Club serves as the primary leader of the golf operations, responsible for delivering a "best in class" golf experience that aligns with the club's long-standing tradition of excellence and member satisfaction.

Experience Required

• Three years or more of experience as a Head Professional at a private equity club or a minimum of five years as First Assistant at a private club is preferred.
• Class "A" PGA Member in good standing
• Experience working in a similar service-minded environment where member engagement is valued.
• Strong communicator, including interpersonal, written, public speaking, and social media abilities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Overseeing all aspects of golf operations across both facilities, including course maintenance coordination (in partnership with the Superintendent), pro shop management, tee time scheduling, member services, and golf event programming.
• Leading the golf professional staff, including hiring, training, and supervision of assistants, inside and outside services personnel.
• Directing a comprehensive instruction program to enhance member skills and engagement, including junior golf initiatives, clinics, and private lessons.
• Planning and executing member tournaments, guest outings, charity events, and external golf functions to drive revenue and member enjoyment.
• Managing the golf shop inventory, merchandising, and retail operations to ensure profitability and premium member experience.
• Collaborating closely with the General Manager, club leadership, and other department heads to integrate golf with overall club programming, membership goals, and budgeting.
• Fostering a welcoming, professional, and service-oriented culture that upholds the club's prestigious reputation while promoting member retention and growth.
