DEPUTY DISCIPLINARY COUNSEL
The Disciplinary Board of the Hawai'i Supreme Court seeks applications from Hawai'i licensed attorneys to fill a Deputy Disciplinary Counsel position with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. The successful candidate will have had some experience with litigation and will be required to supervise the investigation of attorney discipline matters, recommend action to be taken, prepare and present evidentiary cases to a hearings officer or panel, and brief and argue cases to the Disciplinary Board and the Hawai'i Supreme Court. Other responsibilities include conducting seminars and providing informal advice to members of the Bar about ethics issues, as well as arranging the disposition of abandoned law practices. Training will be provided.
Applicants should have at least two years of experience in presenting cases to courts or other tribunals. Salary range is $92,000-$120,000. Benefits include generous paid leave (vacation and sick), employer 401(k) contribution, health coverage, flexible work hours, and work from home.
