Description

The City of Au Gres Department of Public Works Department is taking application for the following position:  Combination DPW Worker/Sewer Operator/Water Operator.  This position requires a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, proficient in math, posses a valid driver's license, must pass a pre-employment drug test, and background check.  The employee is expected to acquire a CDL (class B with airbrakes) within 6 months, a F-4/S-4 water filtration and distribution license within 2 years and a class "C" sewer license within 3 years.  The City of Au Gres will pay for training of all successful licenses.  Starting wage $20-24 per hour based on experience and licenses.  The position includes 401K retirement, sick, vacation, holiday pay, health, life and disability insurance.  Applications or resumes will be accepted until February 6, 2026 and can be found online at www.cityofaugresmi.com or picked up at Au Gres City Hall, 124 W Huron Road, Au Gres during regular business hours.  A complete job description can be found on our website or picked up at City Hall.
