Custodian (Full-Time)

Ansley Public Schools is looking for a motivated, reliable, and hardworking Full-Time Custodian to help us prepare our buildings for the upcoming school year, and keep them in shape all year long. What You'll Do

• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, gyms, and common areas throughout the building
• Strip, wax, and refinish floors and complete other deep-cleaning tasks not possible during the school year
• Assist with summer maintenance projects, furniture moving, and classroom resets
• Inspect and report facility issues such as lighting, plumbing, or safety concerns to administration
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of custodial supply areas and storage rooms
• Follow proper procedures for handling and storing cleaning chemicals safely
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance team and building administration to meet project timelines
• Help ensure our buildings are fully prepared and welcoming before students return in the fall

What We're Looking For

• A strong work ethic and ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
• Reliability - we count on our team to show up and get the job done
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Experience in custodial, janitorial, or general maintenance work is preferred but we are willing to train the right person
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and power washers is a plus
• Must be able to pass a background check

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
