Description
Summary: The Part-Time Custodial Associate [25 hours/week] is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across Wings facilities, including the Program Center, Community Commons, and Residences. This role supports daily operations by completing routine cleaning tasks, identifying maintenance needs, and helping ensure a welcoming environment for staff, members, and visitors.

Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors in all areas
- Empty trash and recycling bins; replace liners as needed
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, etc.)
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
- Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
- Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly
- Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures
- Assist with basic facility upkeep as needed
- Secure buildings when required (lock doors, turn off lights, set alarms)
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of custodial equipment
- Ability to safely handle and use cleaning chemicals
- Understanding of workplace safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness
- Ability to manage time and work independently
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Dependable with a strong work ethic
