Description
We are currently recruiting qualified applicants for the Concessions - Splash Aquatic Park position. Come and see why the City of Golden is the place you want to be!
To ensure quality service to Aquatic Park guests through food preparation and concession area counter service. Work hours may vary and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Greet guests and take food/concession orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
Prepare food items with the highest quality control for health and safety.
Conduct accurate cash transactions.
Close out and balance cash drawers at shifts end.
Follow all procedures related to the position including but not limited to: cash control procedures; inventory procedures; safety procedures; security procedures and safe food handling procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of concessions area and surrounding park space.
Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age by date of hire. Must be 18 years of age to operate all equipment. Prior food services experience a plus. Ability to accurately operate a cash register, make change, and present a courteous and positive attitude toward customers.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CPR and First Aid certifications desired.
ServeSafe Food Handler training – Training Provided.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent customer service, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to make and count change for concessions purchases accurately.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense and to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Cash register, cooking grills, and other kitchen utensils.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
Primarily indoor environment. Exposure to cooking grills. While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in this work environment is moderate to loud.
