What You’ll Do
As Compensation Manager, you’ll lead a small but mighty team of compensation professionals and collaborate with HR leaders and senior administrators to ensure NSU’s pay practices remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with strategic goals.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Overseeing annual salary merit and market review processes
- Guiding the job architecture redesign project to streamline titles, levels, and career paths
- Supporting workforce planning and data analytics initiatives to inform long-term decisions
- Conducting job evaluations, salary studies, and market benchmarking across the university
- Advising HR partners and leaders on compensation strategy, policy, and compliance
- Enhancing data quality, governance, and reporting through HRIS and analytical tools

Requirements
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 6+ years of progressive compensation experience with exposure to job architecture or workforce planning
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills; proficiency with HRIS and compensation modeling tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior leaders
- Experience mentoring or guiding others (direct management experience a plus
Preferred:
- Master’s degree and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
- Prior experience in higher education or large, complex organizations
