Description
Parsons Behle & Latimer is seeking a Chief People Officer in its Salt Lake City, Utah office. (Open Until Filled)

Firm Culture and People Experience
- Work with Board of Directors and Leadership Team on developing and executing HR strategic goals
- Maintain and enhance firm culture across multiple offices through reinforcement of Parsons’ core values, including recognitions, events, and other activities
- Oversee and manage employee recognition program, currently utilizing AwardCo
- Develop and implement Parsons Curriculum training program for professional staff and attorneys
- Lead employee communications
- Manage and oversee mentor program for associate attorneys and lateral attorneys
- Develop and manage annual budget covering People Experience, activities, and other events
- Oversee and manage firm’s efforts to recruit and retain diverse candidates, and lead firm’s efforts to promote and ensure inclusive and equitable work environment for all
- Work with Director of Strategic Growth and Director of Recruiting on attorney recruiting efforts, including summer associate program
Human Resource Management
- Oversee and manage Human Resource team
- Manage professional staff recruitment and retention
- Manage firm’s employee relations and employee performance issues, including investigations, discipline when needed, performance improvement plans and other coaching strategies
- Manage employee development, including evaluation process for all professional staff, attorneys, and paralegals
- Develop and manage professional staff compensation strategy
- Develop and enforce professional staff policies and procedures
- Manage employee benefits, including working with broker and firm management on all employee benefits
- Oversee and manage onboarding and offboarding of professional staff and attorneys
- Oversee employee leave processes
Expectations and Required Experience
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding firm and personnel matters
- Minimum ten years of Human Resources experience, including at least five in a position of leadership
- Law firm experience preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate with both individuals and large groups
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of organization, including firm leadership
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws and experience with sensitive or confidential employment investigations
- In-office work expected at a minimum of four days per week
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Conflict resolution training preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel to other offices in Intermountain West on short notice to handle personnel matters and occasional travel to other offices to connect with professional staff and attorneys across firm
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Familiarity with ADP preferred
