Description
Are you ready for the best summer of your life? Spending the summer at Camp Paivika in the beautiful San Bernardino National Forest, working and playing with amazing campers and co-workers is guaranteed to change your life. As a Cabin Counselor you will work with a co-counselor and provide guidance, care and support to a group of campers with various physical and/or developmental disabilities. Campers range in age from children through adults and disabilities may be mild to profound. Throughout the 5-night sessions you will live in the same cabin with and assist your campers with daily personal care and accompany them to fun and exciting camp activities adapted to meet the individual ability level of each camper. Typical activities include swimming, adaptive sports, crafts, nature studies, performing arts, talent shows and campfires. This is an amazing opportunity for people who are interested in pursuing a related field of study - for people who love sharing the outdoors with others - for people who love to play - for people who just love to have a great time and make a difference at the same time!
