JOB DESCRIPTIONChubb's North America Personal Risk Services (PRS) division is seeking an Associate Product Owner to support the modernization and transformation of our Recreational Marine platform (ORCA 2.0)-a strategic initiative central to our business growth. You'll play a hands-on role in shaping and executing the ORCA 2.0 roadmap, focusing on modernization, operational efficiency, and process improvement. Working side-by-side with our Senior Product Owner, you'll collaborate with operations, underwriting, sales & distribution, engineering, UX design, and product teams to optimize processes, drive automation, and enhance the service experience. This high-visibility position offers you direct exposure to a critical business area and the chance to build expertise in a key growth segment. You'll deliver impactful solutions, learn from experienced leaders, and expand your skills through daily collaboration with diverse teams-setting a strong foundation for ongoing career advancement within Chubb.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and ensure user-centric, modernization-focused solutions
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, defining and refining user stories and acceptance criteria to align with business objectives and transformation vision
- Streamline processes and implement improvements that elevate customer and agent satisfaction, leveraging a strong understanding of customer experience principles and insurance agent workflows
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including strategy, test case development, and validation of acceptance criteria
- Drive high-quality delivery as part of a multi-functional squad, representing end users in usability sessions and requirements gathering
- Champion visioning, research, planning, execution, and measurement across assigned workstreams
- Communicate proactively and effectively with stakeholders through status updates, release notes, executive briefings, and presentations
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization of business processes
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a product owner or related role; experience in such a role working directly with/for insurance agents or brokerages is highly preferred
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills to move initiatives forward and deliver results
- Excel in a dynamic, matrix-managed environment by adapting quickly, multi-tasking across concurrent priorities, and maintaining strong attention to detail
- Proven experience coordinating and implementing projects to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables
- Exposure to Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks; Agile certification preferred.
- Ability to balance analytical thinking with decisive action, driving change management and influencing others to adopt new processes
- Previous experience with backlog management tools; JIRA preferred
- Foundational understanding of Personal Lines P&C insurance preferred (ideally with high net worth and/or Recreational Marine products)
The pay range for the role is $85,000 to $130,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
