Description
OverviewBelle Meade Country Club (BMCC) is a premier, member-owned private club in Nashville, Tennessee, known for a tradition-rich golf culture, championship-level conditioning, and a team-first service standard.
The golf operation is highly active and detail-oriented, supporting approximately 30,000 annual rounds and generating about $1.2M in annual golf shop revenue. BMCC hosts approximately 130 days of events each year and offers robust instructional programs for juniors and adults.
BMCC's culture within the golf operation is built on developing people. A core priority is supporting assistant professionals and helping them advance their careers in the golf industry through meaningful mentorship, responsibility, and professional development. The Director of Golf and the membership take pride in seeing our professionals grow and move on to the next step in their careers.
We are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional who is passionate about people, service, and the craft of golf operations. This position offers well-rounded experience across tournaments, daily operations, merchandising, instruction, and collaboration with outside services.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have a strong service mindset, professional presence, and a desire to grow within a high-performing private club environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Prior experience in a private club or high-end daily fee setting
- PGA Class A status and/or active progression toward PGA Class A certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with members and guests
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced golf operation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays during peak season
Essential Responsibilities
This role is a face-forward position requiring daily interaction with members and guests, strong operational execution, and a team-first approach.
Tournament & Event Operations
- Assist with planning, preparation, execution, and breakdown of tournaments, leagues, and member events
- Serve as a visible, welcoming presence during events: registrations, announcements, scoring support, pace-of-play management, and post-event communication
- Support accurate rules application and player service, helping deliver an exceptional experience for members and guests
Daily Golf Operations / Member Services
- Provide outstanding service in all golf areas, including tee, practice facilities, and golf shop
- Perform opening/closing procedures, daily checklists, and basic administrative tasks as assigned
- Act as starter and/or ranger as scheduled, supporting pace of play and on-course experience
- Coordinate closely with Outside Services and other club departments to ensure smooth daily operations
Golf Shop & Merchandising Support
- Assist with sales, merchandising standards, inventory support, and shop presentation
- Promote club initiatives, merchandise programs, and member events in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and member-ready golf shop environment
Instruction & Player Development (Based on Experience)
- Provide lessons and coaching to members as appropriate
- Assist with junior golf programming, clinics, and player development initiatives
- Support group clinics, beginner programming, and seasonal instructional events
Professionalism & Team Development
- Represent BMCC with integrity and a high standard of hospitality
- Participate in staff training, service standards, and continuous improvement processes
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture within the golf operation
