Description
OverviewJefferson Landing Club is looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to begin or continue their career in the golf industry. As a member of the Golf Management Team the Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in all aspects of the golf operation; tee times, course play, tournaments and outings, lessons, merchandising, training, etc. Able to provide highly efficient and superior customer service, maintain and provide daily records to assist the head golf professional with reports, and supervise the shop assistants and cart staff.

Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
- PGA Associate status or enrollment desired
- Two years of private club or resort experience preferred
- Assistant Golf Professional or golf club service experience preferred
- Knowledge of golf operations, rules of golf, and basic club repair
- Strong work ethic and motivation to continue learning and advancing
- Fundamental supervisory principles and leadership capability
- Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid state driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Capacity to work in varying outdoor weather (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Strong hand/eye/foot coordination
- Ability to bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements
Essential Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Service
- Deliver warm, professional service to members and guests at all golf operation touchpoints
- Support golf shop operations including point-of-sale (Jonas), retail sales, special orders, and inventory
- Assist with day-to-day management of golf operations and staff supervision
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, professionalism, and member-focused service
Tournaments & Member Programs
- Assist in planning and executing all club events including Ladies League, Men's League, and Couples Nights
- Utilize Golf Genius for scoring, communication, and reporting
- Take pride in delivering exceptional quality and organization for every event
Instruction & Player Development
- Conduct or support private lessons, clinics, and junior golf programs
- Continue development of instructional methods and player engagement
- Contribute to overall member experience through teaching and player support
General Duties
- Problem-solving and decision-making with minimal supervision
- Staff training and oversight
- Support merchandising and club repair as needed
- Promote a positive and professional image within the community

- $18-$22 per hour based on experience
- Approximately 40-45 hours per week (additional hours during tournaments)
